SS19 Archival Logo-Patch Denim

The history of the Prada logo started in 1919, when the company was proclaimed the official supplier of the royal family in Italy. Due to this fact, the brand received the right to include elements of the House of Savoy's heraldry in its logotype. By now, it has became a big part of the culture of logos and still remains one of the most satisfying and stylish ones.

 With this Jeans, the placement of the logo is done in a subtle but excellent way with the back-pocket positioning. The jeans itself fits amazing with it's "Dad Jeans" look and removable belt, and combined with the logo and the beautiful wash, it definitely stands for a lot of the good qualities that come out of the legendary fashion house.

 

For Spring Summer 2019 Collection, Muiccia Prada and her team continued to embrace fashionable contradictions and subversion. Miuccia's  intention for the show was to be straightforward. “I like to use simple, banal words,” she said, “because sometimes people, not only in fashion, in general, in politics, they invent so much stuff - Try to be honest.” 

The runway had a lot of sexiness in the forefront, not only because of the super short pants that the men wore but also because of the excellent cuts that did adorn the models. Miuccia wanted to focus on the precise detail of the clothes, which is seen in the construction of the pants. They had form, with a removable belt and front pleat, but they also had slouch and the cut was pretty baggy. It was as if the pants were deciding whether or not to flare. They didn’t tho.

A good Prada show never misses some outstanding graphics, that’s why SS19 featured a line of trippy statue graphics in vivid 70’s type colors, with often saturated primaries and acid tones featured on shirt and tracksuits. 

The fashion house once again brought a young, futuristic vision to the forefront of Milan Fashion Week.
