Having already completed a few seasons in menswear, Haider Ackermann had established the identity of the signature "Haider Ackermann" man. Compared to previous collections, Spring/Summer 2016 felt more raw and grounded. While there were fewer of the exquisite silks and jacquards, the collection retained Haider’s distinctive approach to day-to-day luxury in menswear.
Leather, cotton, and linen took center stage, presented in muted shades of gray, blue, off-white, and hints of gold. These understated hues highlighted the collection’s elegance and wearability, making each piece feel effortlessly luxurious. Altogether, it was a remarkable successor to his earlier shows, maintaining Ackermann’s refined aesthetic while introducing a slightly edgier, more tangible feel.
