The Piece

When it comes to luxury Bomber Jackets, Haider Ackermann is definitely one of the best to ever do it.
In retrospect, 2015 was probably his most iconic year for Menswear, with SS15 & FW15 being absolutely amazing collections that brought together all the best elements of his work and defined his design language for future Mens collections.
The chevron and floral pattern made out of a lavish silk material, combined with an boxy cut & finished with classic college trims make this one of the best Bomber Jackets Haider has ever made.

What makes this Jacket so appealing is the super luxurious appearance while still being super wearable on daily basis. You can make this Jacket the highlight of any basic Outift or still a super lavish fit that complements the luxurious appearance of the Jacket.

This Jacket was originally released back in 2015 and became an instant classic. Due to countless Celebrities wearing the Piece and the low production numbers it sold out very fast. On the secondary market this pieces reached prices of 4000$ or more and became on the most sought after Haider Ackermann Grails.

To our excitement Haider Ackermann created a reedition for SS21 with the leftover fabric from 2015 which we exclusively sold to our VIP Clients over the past year. The few leftover Pieces are now available to the public. Except a slight difference in the collar, cuffs and waistband this Piece exactly matches the one from 2015.

Collection

In his Spring/Summer 2015 collection, Haider Ackermann captivated with a series of luminous looks crafted from a dreamy palette, opulent fabrics, and elegantly relaxed silhouettes, all showcased in a Parisian residence gathering.

The collection marked the beginning of a new, glamorous spirit that Haider later continued with some of his most lavish and extravagant creations. For his creative influence, the Colombian designer drew on rock and roll. His main inspiration for the collection was Keith Richards, whose energy had long fascinated him. Figures like Richards and Iggy Pop, Ackermann explained, radiated a freedom that feels elusive today.

Before designing the collection, Ackermann attended his first Stones concert. "They’re not my generation, but their energy was beyond fantastic," he said. "Keith took my scarf and wrapped it around his waist. There was just a natural decadence."

The silhouettes flowed with wild elegance: long scarves, varsity silk jackets, crumpled trousers, and gilets in shades of purple, olive, aubergine, and other rich tones. For his portrayal of the rock star as a bohemian, Haider received more than just words of praise.
