The Piece

This blazer was part of Hedi's last collection for Saint Laurent. It was featured on the runway in a navy colorway with red detailing and gold buttons. This all-black version is a bit cleaner and more refined.

It comes in a classic slim fit cut with a three-button front closure. The collar and cuffs feature tonal baroque embroidery which elevates the piece without taking away from the elegance. Made from high-quality black wool and lined with black silk.

We are very happy we could source this ten-year-old piece in pretty much brand new condition.

Collection

Hedi Slimane commemorated the 50th anniversary of Rive Gauche by relocating Saint Laurent's Fall/Winter 2016 presentation to the Hollywood Palladium, staging a 93-look spectacle that merged menswear with unisex pieces in his Los Angeles stronghold.

The collection pivoted toward theatrical glamour through heavily embroidered military jackets featuring couture-level hand beading and sequin work, alongside brocade and velvet pieces that channeled seventies rock decadence. Metallic boots and fedoras accessorized cigarette pants paired with statement outerwear, including western-style jackets with rose embroidery and iconic pieces like the guitar jacket embellished with musical note prints. The androgynous lineup balanced Slimane's signature skinny tailoring with more ornate fabrications, creating a visual bridge between house archive references and contemporary music culture.
